Program Description
The Artificial Intelligence in Government Certificate (AIGC) is a competency-based workforce certification designed to build practical AI integration capability across government.
Aligned with emerging federal guidance emphasizing responsible AI use, workforce AI literacy, measurable performance outcomes, and human oversight, this program equips professionals to integrate AI in ways that strengthen operational efficiency, documentation quality, governance alignment, and accountability.
Instruction is platform-neutral and comparative. Participants work across multiple categories of AI tools including:
- Generative AI platforms
- Productivity-integrated AI applications
- Research and summarization tools
- Writing enhancement systems
- Workflow automation supports
Where appropriate, exercises may include exposure to widely used platforms such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, and other commercially available AI applications.
Participants analyze differences in outputs, strengths, limitations, and risk considerations across tools to develop transferable skills that are not dependent on any single AI application. The curriculum emphasizes applied practice, structured validation, and performance-focused implementation to support mission execution and modernization readiness.
