All Federal employees and contractors who (1) work on project teams, (2) project managers, or (3) anyone else who wants to learn more about this software. You should possess a basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows before you take this course.
- Learn the interface and various components of Microsoft Project.
- Create project plans and templates from scratch.
- Schedule project tasks and learn about their properties.
- Learn start dates, end dates, and task durations.
- Assign and manage resources – both work resources and material resources.
- Monitor your budget - learn to calculate fixed costs within tasks and assign resource hourly rates, etc.
- Track progress and create summary tasks to ‘roll up’ total costs, hours and more!
- Report project progress and identify critical path and slack.
- Import data from Excel and Word.
