Who Should Attend...

All Federal civilian and military employees and contractors are eligible to attend.

What...

  • Learn to spot and correct many grammar errors, such as subject/verb agreement, pronoun problems, verb tenses, irregular verbs, adjectives/adverbs, etc.

  • Learn to properly use affect/effect, lie/lay and other commonly misused words.

  • Review other special topics, such as who vs. whom and that vs. which.

  • Punctuate and capitalize properly – Learn to punctuate (commas, semicolons, etc.) and capitalize according to the G.P.O. Style Manual.

  • Understand independent and dependent clauses and how to correct run-on sentences, fragments, and comma splices.

  • Receive a copy of The Blue Book of Grammar and Punctuation – a popular reference guide and workbook.
